A friend (DJ Icon) recently sent this to our email. Couldn’t help but share it with you guys. Enjoy, hope you get a laugh or two out of it!

VERDICT: FAME. Whenever I see Pauly D, I will always think of him like this for now on.

For the very few of you that are behind on the times, Pauly D has recently been nominated for America’s Best DJ 2010. I know, I know. WTF!?

“START OF RANT: Being last years winner, I have 2 say, it’s a bit of a knock 2 all the OG’s 2 include Pauly D on Americas Best DJ 2010 ballot. While I respect his hustle to get over on people, I personally don’t feel he’s done the work needed to be included on the list. I only hope people see (and vote 4) DJ’s who’ve actually been doing it 4 YEARS in public and/or have put in the work to earn the title. Again, Not trying 2 dis, but the fact that he is on the list (alongside some DJ legends) is a bit sketchy. He hasn’t earned that yet IMO. 2 me, he is on that list based mostly off of the show, not his skill level. I’m hoping people vote 4 the right DJ’s based on skill, not fame. Again, Pauly, get yours in this world. But if you win, I can’t help but feel let down. U R no Jazzy Jeff, A-Trak, Craze, etc. Not yet anyway. Keep practicing, like the rest of us, let UR skills rise. If U keep at it, eventually U can earn it. But nobody knew who U were b4 the show.” via Z-Trip’s twitter.

VERDICT: SHAME. Just when you thought the Pauly Douchebag takeover was ending, he manages to surprise us with something new. Like Z-Trip has stated, he’s only a known DJ because of Jersey Shore. Without it, he’d still be DJing in little holes in the wall for $200 a night. He’s got hustle, but not DJ hustle. He didn’t hustle his way into a Palms residency by showcasing his raw talent, because he doesn’t possess any. Kind of makes you want to fist pump him in the face, right?

It’s time to hit the gym, get a tan and do your laundry, cause Pauly D is heading back to Vegas, and this time he’ll be sticking around.

Just when you though your nightclub was safe, Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio from MTV’s Jersey Shore has signed on for an exclusive residency this spring with N9NE Group and The Palms.

Pauly’s first Vegas outing earlier this winter went down at Jet, where poufed ladies and their bronzed oglers flooded the club to hear and see Pauly and his popular co-star The Situation. Now, the Jersey DJ is on his way back to town to take the tables at Jersey Shore-fan George Maloof’s casino.

Book your tanning appointment now.

Event dates and additional information to be announced at a later date.

Another Pauly D video “showcasing his skills.” Ha!

THE FOLLOWING IS A STORY FROM THE BOSTON HERALD.

Pride of Rhode Island Pauly D is looking beyond the Jersey Shore to his next gig.

“You know DJ AM? May he rest in peace. Someone needs to take over for him. I want that job,” said the faux-tanned MTV guido formerly known as Paul Delvecchio, a R.I. club DJ from Johnston.

The late DJ AM (real name Adam Goldstein) was a globe-trotting spinner – and ex of Simple Life chick Nicole Richie - who scored upward of $25,000 a night for club gigs or private parties. He died of an accidental overdose in August.

Pauly, who smashed it at a jam-packed McFadden the other night, said he knows that stuff is in the works for the return of MTV’s breakout hit.

The cast of the show, eight self-proclaimed guidos and guidettes who share a house on the Jersey Shore, are said to be thisclose to swinging a $10,000-per-episode deal with the network for Season 2.

So how did a kid from Johnston get to hang with a bunch of fist-pumpers from the Tri-State area at the Shore?

“They told me I had the look,” said Pauly, whose signature rock-hard up do takes 25 minutes to prep every day. The look is what got it.

“When you think of guidette, you think of Snooki, when you think of guido, it’s me,” said Pauly D, who seemed to be quite taken with McFadden’s bar manager Nicole Surette all night. “Snookie’s my girl. We keep it real on the show. And the Situation is my road dawg. He’s just like me.”

WOW. No doubt about it, DJ AM was an inspiration to many and to say he inspired you is completely acceptable. It crosses the line and becomes unacceptable when someone who doesn’t event have one percent of the talent that Adam had, goes on the record and publicly states that he wants to replace him. We’ve got news for you Pauly, Adam is irreplaceable, so get over yourself. We’ll see how popular you are and how many gigs you get once this Jersey Shore fad dies out. Until then, stop being a disgrace to us hard-working, music loving, non-microwave, non-sellout deejays.

Your daily dose of douchebaggery is provdided by DJ PAULY D.

VERDICT: SHAME.

P.S. Incase you want to know how much he makes per gig, read the following article from TMZ below.

“Pauly D isn’t just trying to land $10,000 an episode for Season Two of “Jersey Shore” — it’s also become his going rate for a night’s work on the turntables.

TMZ has learned the Cadillac tattooed “guido” is trying to solidify DJing residencies across the country. His plan: To provide the fist pump soundtrack once every six weeks at three different clubs — for anywhere between $10,000-$25,000 a gig.

FYI — Before becoming The Situation’s summertime wingman, Pauly D was pulling in $1,000 a night, 4-5 nights a week in Providence, RI.”

A clip of Pauly D’s recent trip to Vegas to DJ at JET inside of the Mirage.

VERDICT: SHAME. You have to love the fact that the majority of the people in the club aren’t dancing – they’re mostly girls watching and taking pictures of Pauly Douchebag.

VERDICT: SHAME. You have a mixer, so what? I’m wondering… If no one was there to help you hook it up, would you know how to do it on your own? Hmmm.

P.S. We found this out today – Rane “sponsors” Pauly D, don’t believe us? It’s posted on his website (www.mtvdjpaulyd.com).

Picture 4Rane is a legitimate company, hands down. I love their products (own two TTM57′s, one TTM56 and even an MP44 mixer, not to mention some of their amps and of course Serato) and will continue to love their products and buy them (like the new Rane Sixty-Eight). From operating this site and from talking to people, we know that Pauly D has ignited an interest in many to become a “DJ” and that a lot of people are wanting to know what equipment he has. As a business, especially one that puts out products which are essentially must haves if you DJ, we understand the “advertising” on his site, to an extent. Some of you are probably wanting to know what the point of this little rant is… Basically if you want to be a DJ and you legitimately love mixing music, rocking a crowd, or whatever, step your game up because we’re going to be facing a lot, and I mean a lot of fresh competition this year.

So, I talked to Eric D-Lux from Power 106 and got confirmation that Pauly D will not be DJing today, rather Friday or next week instead.

Like most of you, we were looking forward to hearing him do a radio mix, so in the meantime here’s some Pauly D videos to hold you over.

VERDICT: SHAME. Need we say anymore?

He’s no stranger to our site, he’s actually becoming a regular on here – kind of like Pete Wentz.

VERDICT: SHAME. Nice “PAULY D” rhinestoned headphones, we especially like the way you’re wearing them, makes it easier for someone to choke your fake-ass out. By the way, unless you intend on playing some frisbee, put that Serato record down.
